I grew up on a dairy and grain farm in northwestern Minnesota. It was here that I discovered a passion for solving challenging problems. After graduating from Roseau High School, I enrolled in the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities with an expected major of Computer Science. Not being truly in love with my chosen major, I switched to Mechanical Engineering, a field closer to my farm upbringing. I graduated early and decided to continue onto a Master’s degree in order to explore more advanced topics not covered in the Bachelor’s curriculum. I graduated from the Master’s program in February of 2008. I became a licensed professional engineer in June of 2011. I interned as a mechanical engineer at Honeywell ACS and Logic Product Development. My first full time engineering position was in the Dispensing System Engineering group at Ecolab.
I currently work at ACIST Medical where I get to design new medical imaging systems to be used in angiography procedures. I reside in Edina, MN with my lovely wife and son. In my spare time I enjoy running, hiking, playing soccer, cycling, snowboarding, and golfing. |
